First Scholarship Offering Announced!

The ICTD 2012 Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce that in conjunction with a grant from the IDRC we have awarded initial scholarships to 38 recipients to attend the conference in Atlanta.  Over 400 applications have been received and are under review by the committee.  Criteria for selection included those applicants who had a paper accepted for the conference, as well as those that proposed an open session and met one or more of the other application conditions.   The scholarship recipients come from a wide variety of backgrounds including both the private sector and academia.  The individuals represent 15 countries from the continents of North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia.  Scholarship awards include various combinations of registration fee waivers, flight and accommodations.  The committee is continuing to review select applicants for additional awards.
